I just watched the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince trailer!! THAT WAS THE BEST F****ING 1 MINUTE AND 29 SECONDS IN THE HISTORY OF FILM MAKING!!! The trailer makes it look like the movie is going to be great!! It looks a lot like the book!! I LOVE WARNER BROTHERS!!!!!
The trailer has great selections, and it doesn’t show too much, just enough!!!!!!! Overall it was great and I have no complaints!!

Recently The Dark Knight was released in theaters and IMAX, the great thing about seeing it in IMAX (other than the fact that the screen is 5 stories high) is that an HBP teaser trailer comes with it! Right?…
…WRONG!
The “Teaser Trailer” was 23 seconds long, shows nothing from the movie, and has ONE F***ING line! To top it off Michael Gambon’s one line is almost impossible to understand. I sounds something between “Once again I must ask you…” and “Once again I must ask you to do the impossible”! This “trailer” is probably the worse that the low res pieces of crap we got from Warner Bros. MONTHS AGO!!! Our Half-Blood Prince movie is going to be released in just under 4 months, we should have gotten a teaser trailer, that you could see EVEN if you blink, weeks ago, but still, nothing. Its almost time for the first full trailer and we dont have even have a second of real video from the movie!!
Thanks Warner Brothers, we love you (*sarcasm*)

Sorry, I’m kind of behind on posts. Recently I found out about a horrible tragedy in London. Robert Knox, the actor of Marcus Belby, was in a street fight where he was killed. Knox was stabbed fatally when intervening in the fight on behalf of his brother just outside Metro Bar. This made me so very sad and this tragedy will greatly affect the Harry Potter fans. Warner Brothers, according to The Telegraph, released the statment:
“We are all shocked and saddened by this news and at this time our sympathies are with his family.”
I hope Knox’s family is okay and feel deeply sorry for them.

JK Rowling recently went back into court for the unfinished legal battle involving Rowling, Time Warner’s WB, RDR Books, and Steve Vander Ark. Rowling apparently became emotional during media questions. The Wall Street Journal’s Law Blog had this to say:
“‘I don’t want to cry, because I’m British,’ said Rowling, breaking down a bit, ‘but the [Harry Potter books] meant setting aside my children.’ If that was a show of weakness on Rowling’s part, to the Law Blog’s sensibilities, it was effective in making her seem sympathetic. It was also a counterpoint to testimony that was otherwise declarative and authoritative.
‘This trial has decimated my creative work over the last month,’ said Rowling. ‘You lose the [plot] threads and worry whether you’ll be able to pick them up again.’
I do not know for sure, but I believe that RDR Books has shown Rowling a copy of the book or she has reviewed the website. This seems to have had a negative impact on Rowling rather than the positive impact it would have had if RDR had given them a copy earlier on. There a negative impact on Rowling due to Steve Vander Ark’s demands that Rowling attend the trial when she didn’t want to. Vander Ark has dug himself a deep hole and the judge will side with Rowling.
*Note: I will be buying this book if it comes out

Recently director David Heyman announced that a final decision had been made on the Deathly Hallows split. They said YES!! The two parts will be released as separate movies about six months apart. In my opinion this is good and bad, it’s great that we are going to see more from this than any other movie! At the same time the fact that they are to be released Six Months apart is kind of annoying. Personally I think they should have put an intermission and let people leave the theater for a few minutes, maybe even two movies 3 weeks apart but not six months. The fact the two are so far apart means that people may lose interest if they have already read the books.
Overall the split means that readers will expect much more from the film than we have expected from any other!

I have finally gotten rid of all the spam that has been attacking my blog everyday! Using Askimet with my blog really helps, and I hope it keeps working!
If anyone reading this has their own blog then you probably know what it’s like to be spammed, I got so many email about comments it crashed my email program. I had to restart my computer because it almost crashed! I HATE SPAMMERS! So I hope this Askimet stuff works.

The Harry Potter series is now in 2007 the fastest selling book series on the planet and Jo Rowling’s series overall has sold almost (if not more) copies than the bible. The books are printed in more languages than I thought existed and are the icon of children’s books. The series is filled with action, mystery, romance, and a ton of other things that don’t have names. Jo even created her own word, thats right muggle was recently added to the Oxford English Dictionary as “a person lacking certain skills”.
Thoughout the world Jo Rowling has made a huge difference in the hearts of many not just children but adults as well. From her charity work to her positive attitude to just her amzaing writing style Jo has reached out to help people of the world just as Harry Potter and his friends reach out in the darkness as a beacon of hope against the Dark Lord’s ascension. Many people have been inspired by Jo to the point of joining alliances such as the Harry Potter Alliance wich aids women and men in Darfur.Harry Potter and Jo Rowling are now and forever timless people that will never be stopped. With the halp of thier fans they made a series, a person, a legend.

Many people have heard that Jo Rowling recently won Entertainment Weekly Entertainer of 2007. This year the was the first time in seventeen years that they made Entertainer of the Year an author. “In an era of videogame consoles, online multiplayer ‘environments,’ and tinier-is-better mobisodes, minisodes, and webisodes, she [Jo] got people to tote around her big, fat old-fashioned printed-on-paper books as if they were the hottest new entertainment devices on the planet.” - Entertainment Weekly. I agree this world is so obsessed with new technology (don’t get me wrong I love mobisodes, minisodes, and webisodes) and forgot about the power of reading and a good writers ability to take into another world when all you must have is the book, the ability to read, and willing suspension of disbelief. People have forgotten the magic that comes from books and instead are online typing opinionated words into a little text box that they know will be posted on the internet. We are so busy listening to iPods and iPhones we forgot bOoks and this article brings into light that there is more out there than just screens.

Since Halloween Jo Rowling and Time Warner have been locked in legal combat against the Harry Potter Lexicon which was originally planned to be published November 28th but was pushed back by the judge until a final decision on copyright laws can be made.
Personally I believe Jo was right to call it an infringement of copyright in the first place, and now, by refusing to give Time Warner and Jo a copy of the Harry Potter reference, the book publishers are digging an even deeper hole, one they may not leave but may leave them in serious problems.
There have been many questions as to why other companion books are allowed to be published and the answer on the official website of the Lexicon stated that certain publishers were allowed to publish companion books when in fact this is not true. Jo Rowling was quoted saying that the current books that go along with the bestselling series were not companions, but that they analyzed her series in a way that did not infringe on copyrights. Jo also says that she fears the Lexicon publication would interfere with her own plans for an encyclopedia.
I believe that the Lexicon should not be allowed to be sold because RDR Books and Harry Potter Lexicon would be selling material owned by Jo and Time Warner for their own personal profit.
